What it means:
Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work. Sloth also represents the failure to utilize one's talents and gifts. To make it plain and simple Sloth is a lazy bastard unwilling to act, and has an unwillingness to care. For this reason Sloth is often seen as being less serious than the other sins.

This one I think is the one that most threw me cuz she's not sleepy or lazy looking, as often depicted. In fact the only thing that had me connect it with Sloth was the color. Then I read your description and I like your creative twists to the idea. The snake and water tattoos and the hair like goat horns and the ears. Nice.

She's sexy but I think I have to agree with some of the other comments... while she doesn't have to be fat, her appearance is a bit too neat.
Perhaps if there was some subtle details like a few tears in her jeans or a stain on her tank top... maybe no shoes? It might hammer the point home of apathy...

You wouldn't want an ugly/scary looking sin telling you what to do. You'd freak out and run the other way. She has to be appealing.

Reading your rebuttals to some of the comments, I can see your side better. If the sin isn't tempt-worthy then the chances they would get for you to stray are few.

Yeah we took a different route with the sins. People have a typical perception of what they should look like. We made them a certain way, so they would look tempting and they would persuade you to WANT commit a sin. In their true form they would look evil and grotesque. That's a whole different set of drawings.
So there will be 2 versions of each sin, First one will be the way they want you to see them (Pretty, attractive, etc...) And the Second one will be their true evil forms.

I gotta say, honestly, it's an awesome drawing/coloring job by both of you, as usual, but I really don't see sloth in this picture at all...
I mean I agree, she doesn't have to be fat and slovenly, but still... She's standing upright, her eyes are wide-open and perky, her hair is style'd and done-up pretty, her clothes are fashionable, pressed, and being worn well. She looks like a girl who took time and effort in her appearance, to go out and greet the world... not one who's too lazy to do anything and could care less.
Not trying to bash the drawing itself though, lol... like I said, it's great. Very well done.

That's just it. She is the sin. She is the one who whispers in you ear to not go to work. To not take responsiblity, go do something else other than what you're supposed to be doing. So I think she is supposed to look appealing in order to make you do what she wants and that's to commite the sin. She can't get you to go to hell if she dosen't look good.
