Description Two independently-evolved browsing neoazhdarchids. They share a common ancestor about which lived about 40 million years ago. The one on the left hails from the savannah of Africa, and the right from the taiga of Eurasia and North America.Β

Nice. How did their forelimbs become like the backlegs of birds again? I'd assume that even if they changed for a terrestrial purpose they wouldn't revert like that seeing how far removed from the back legs bird wings are, idk though.

A nice case of convergent evolution with the stripes , cool design for both

I second that the artist really has quite the imagination

They look amazing, especially head design.

It would be interesting to see these creatures in a creative habitat that suits their unusual design.Β  Something a little alien yet recognizable to some degree.Β  Fascinating creaturesΒ indeed.

thanks! i might do some pictures with more of the ecosystem shown. i want to do some research into plant-herbivore co-evolution, and design some plants that would have evolved in this world, rather than generic evergreens

Neat! Glad to hear it. Anything in particular you'd like to see more of?

Honestly, more of the non-pterosaur animals. Are there any non-avian dinosaurs, or just enatiornithes & neornithes? How are mammals and notosuchians doing? Are there any ammonites?Β

No non-avian dinosaurs unfortunately. I'm definitely gonna get into the mammals and crocodylomorphs soon. Haven't given too much thought to the marine ecology, but I'd like to explore that too.
