Somewhere northeast of Highway 5...good times! One of the coolest manifestations of aurora I have seen.DD! Dang!! Thank you so much everyone! When I can, I will answer some common questions here, such as....
Is this a photograph?
YES it is a photograph. It hasn't really been touched from the .raw file...One curves adjustment after a minor color correction.
Where is this?
About 50 Km from Fort Resolution on Highway 6 in the Northwest Territories, Canada.

Wow, beautiful photo of the Aurora Borealis, we don't see them too often in our area, although I did have the rare opportunity as a teen to see them in full dazzling color across the whole sky, It was so beautiful and amazing the experience nearly moved me to tears. This photo sure brings back those memories of that awe inspiring night, I shall never forget that mother nature is and always will be the world's best artist.

You are so right Few realize I think that this separation between artists' art and the "art" of nature is totally artificial. The artist himself is just another "art-form" of nature and all of his "creations" just musical harmonies riding on top of an already infinite symphony. Nature isn't the best artist, she is the ONLY one
