Description
The U.S.S. Ranger rendezvous with the U.S.S. Enterprise in the outskirts of the Beta Pyxis system, in order to deliver complex mineralogical and chemical samples for analysis by Enterprise's more extensive science labs. The ships are side-by-side, with the primary hull of the Ranger even with the engineering hull of the Enterprise, emphasizing the size of the scout.Enterprise by Prologic 9, TOS Ranger built by me,designed by Arcas and me, based on an original FASA design. Rendered in Lightwave 10, with touch-up in Photoshop. Thanks for having a look!

Yeah, she's small, but she's got a lot of spirit!

HA! You snuck this one by me I was hoping that you'd do this up proper. It's such a great perspective and really frames the ships in the suspension of space. COOLIO!

I'm a sucker for high angles we never (or rarely) got in the original series!

The Ranger looks really well done! This is a fantastic image. I like how you have them side by side so we can compare the sizes.

Thanks! Yeah, I think we needed a good shot to directly compare the size of the Ranger with something we know.

You've done an awesome job! Not only with the overall image (which rocks) but with the Ranger. I still have all my FASA STRPG books, and I remember this class of ship. Never liked it... until now, because you actually made it look cool
Well done!

Thanks, Doctor! I think Arcas and I always saw the potential in the basic shapes in those simple drawings. It just kinda screamed to be detailed out.

This makes me think it would be cool to see a TOS-era Enterprise and Reliant in the Mutara Nebula.

Yeah, I must admit, I was captivated by those shots in the Mutara Nebula-especially the top down shots, showing the whirlpool like structure in the nebula...
