I once wrote a computer program in assembly code, where the poem was displayed on the screen, and snow would be gently coming down across the text. This was on an Apple ][. This trusty workhorse computer still has a place in the world, and yet Bill Gates shut it down years ago. I never forgave him for shutting down my software company.
The reason why I chose that poem, was that I read of some man's uphill battle to use a TRS-80 home computer, which crashed and wiped out hours of programming right and left, erased tapes, etc. He was trying to type in the program described above, in a slow language, and he hit the wrong button just as it started and nothing he could do could get it back ! He was reviewing the TRS-80 for the New York Times and he gave it a 0 !

Well, I stopped cartooning ~16 years ago, and as I explained, gave up computer programming shortly before 2000, because the Apple ][ was shut down and my computer quit on me and the stores would not fix it.
Right now, I am surfing the net. I have just finished a 1000 pg+ fan-fic on Casper (you can see a fragment of book 7 in my gallery) and now I am burned out. I have worked on genealogy charts, but sourses taking hearsay, guesswork and outright fabrication as gospel, is a discouraging factor.
