Description This is a plaque I did this last August (for no particular reason, except that I loved wiener dogs) based on an old pedigogical (sp?) drawing by Ken Hultgren. I don't add it to my gallery because it's based on his work. I couldn't recreate the shading & random flow-lines, so this is really a simplification but the outline is still his. I enter this for other enamelists to see my approach.

cloisonne enamel fired concave on copper - the dog was filled using dry enamel & a wet paint brush; the background enamel was applied as a paste with a palet knife.

It wonderful and catches the true movement of a dachshund in flight.

Thanks. My sister thought I should call it 'Too Fat To Fly'.

No. Like the sentimental tree-hugging smuck that I am, it's a giant pit bull that we recently saved from the cold. Now I'm as politically incorrect with my pets as with the rest of my life.
