Description This is a picture I took when my entire school went to ski one day.
I was fortunate to capture a bit of a special moment during our trip - one person reaching out for the ski-lift.

I feel that this picture has a certain subtle charm to it, but would like some critics on what is good and what is bad and what could make it even better.

The colours are stunning

But I think it would be better if the man was snowboarding or did more "action" in a way

Beautiful picture, tho!

Maybe he should have been snowboarding, but then it wouldn't be as contradicting as it is now as he is trying to grab hold without anything.

i think it looks great. kinda a bit of a snapshot. But still quite gud. the colour is great. Maybe if it was more of an action shot.. e.g. wait for the guy to get closer?

The blue sky absolutely compliments the whiteness of the snow. Awesome perspective, and i love the subtle feel that somehow can be felt in the picture

Heheh, it's like, 31 degrees C outside, and i'm looking at a winter photo. XD

That being said, It's a GREAt winter photo. The perspective of the little lines, all leading up to that one pole is great, not to mention the somewhat funny pose/ focus of the photo. At first glance you wouldn't know it was spontaneous. Great shot!

The light, the blue sky reflecting on the snow, the single person, the shadows...

I agree with whoever said you should border it and think up a more inspiring title, because this photo is bloody gorgeous.

Well done.

I will do something about it soon.

I like your photo - "Wheel" and the perspective in it!
I was in London quite recently, so I took a few pictures of The London Eye as well.

What did you think of London?

The Eye is pretty cool, but I'm always scared of going on it since I think it'll fall into the river again...

As I am from Norway, I say that London is a very great place!
All the lovely architecture - especially liked St. Paul's Cathedral! (walked to the top with two of my friends )

Would like to take more trips to London soon though, because I liked it so much!

Hey. I have a few suggestions. You've done very well with the shot itself. I have nothing to say about it, because it is great. I think the things that you are lacking are the little finishing touches that make a photo 'complete'. The first thing that comes to mind is a border. Usually you should put a white or black border around your piece, just to give it a clean definable edge. It also helps direct the viewers attention to whats inside the border (Your photo) which is what you want. In this case, I would use a white border, just because it would work well with the piece. Secondly, comes the title of the work. The title and the description are two very important elements of a deviation. Your description is great, no changes needed there. But I think the title leaves just a little to be desired for. You need the piece to be 'unique'. A title helps to achieve that. Instead of calling it 'ski lift' (A very ordinary, obvious name), you might be able to call it something like 'Lonely Fun' for example. This just shows that there is one person, all on his lonesome, who is able to keep all the fun for himself. It just allows for a more diverse interpretation of your work by your viewers... Anyway, enough said. Im sure your eyes are getting tired by now... Hope this helps. Any more questions or queries, just drop me a note. You can reach my main page through my signature if you wish to do so... Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the insight! it has been very helpful indeed!

I do agree that the title is a bit lacking, I had planned to change it someday anyways.

Then again - thanks!
