Description What if we looked up at the sky and saw our own earth?
Beyond our earth, we also see Mars - the planet scientists say could - once upon a time - have been as thriving with life as our own earth is now.

This is a mixture of both Cinema 4D and PS CS2 - the original project dimensions are: 6144*1536, consisting of 12 layers and weighing around 142 MB! (my biggest deviantART project so far!)
The bump-mapping on earth can be a bit hard to spot because of the reduced image size.

I advice you to full-view it!

This is absolutely amazing. The textures are just...superb, for lack of a better word. And I think the earth looks better without clouds; they would only cover up the beautiful details. Instant fave.

Wow, that is simply gorgeous! Very realistic. There aren't any clouds on your earth, but it's great that you can see the whole planet clearly. Great work!

I actually have a clouds texture here, but the cloud bump-mapping and the clouds textures themselves are at a lower resolution than the earth itself, so if I can find some cloud textures that are more suitable, then I could make some clouds on it.

Thanks for commenting though!

Great!

Few notes: I'd leave pure white border - here those color artifacts are disturbing image. Second - I don't see purpose of 'waves' around earth.

You know, when I give comments I try to make them constructive and helpfull...

...and there's always that rare handful that get me so wound up in awe that I can't say anything but praise.

It's gorgeous work and the concept itself is what sells me. Am I correct in guessing Venus?

This one got faved almost immedately.

I mean, it took about thirty seconds to load...

wow, nice. love the way you made earth! i know what woud be cool, if you dropped norway out of earth; we are actualy standing in norway looking up to the rest of earth, it coud be war or somthing there... evrything woud be totaly destroyed!^^ (vi norringer er jo sΓ₯ smarte at vi ikke gidder livet pΓ₯ jorda lengere)

Back to the topic: i love the colors and the picture at the bottom is real nice it actualy looks like it is a part of the hole pic, not another pic pased in and so on...
my only compaint is: i think mars is way too big here ... but it is realy butifull way better thank my PS plannets.
anyway, superb work!!!!
