Nice, looks like a suit a pilot would use. Hope to see the final model soon. Maybe with a boot knife and a pistol in a shoulder holster?

How long did it take you to do each one?

Wow! These are really badass and awesome! I especially like C... The helmet style and the shorter pants looks really good...

I prefer the C. It looks more dynamic because of the pants & boots.

I like the short pants version, or where they are tucked in the boot, gives it a good outline.

V is the best one. The pants, torso, and helmet are all good.Β
A's pants sleeve and C's helmet isn't the bestΒ
But you're so good!

I prefer C, because dem feet reminds me of the amputated legs from Star Fox.

I really love the design on all of them. Except for the pants they look...strange, but it's still really good

I like how A's black colour is more streamlined into his suit

For some reason B looks like some kind of outlaw, I like it!

Reminds me of the Cerberus armor from Mass Effect 3. Awesome!

Awesome concepts.
'A' looks military/combat.
'B' looks space/astronaut.
'C' looks scientific/lab.
Just the vibe I get from them I suppose.

My favorites parts are B's helmet and A's pants. I'm not sure which midsection I like the best, although I'm leaning towards A's.

I like the pants area of the suit, it gives it a realistic and more civilian or utility look than a lot of other space suits out there. At the same time the external hose worries me but I can also see that being a give away for civilian models.Β

Why the external hoses on the helmet?Β I never could understand desiring to have a part that could get snagged on something else and thus get you killed.

To make it easier to move the head most likely. That suit doesn't look like it's designed for intensive work or combat anyway, more like a zero-g maintenance outfit or a civilian model.

Indeed, a good point...I'm still leery of the idea of having something important attached to the suit that could possibly get snagged on something.

Always a good concern. From purely a design standpoint it would basically be "is the money to make this work worth it for how much it will hike the price up for the consumer in the end?" And then it's up to the consumer to decide if the money saved is worth the risk of that hose.
From and art perspective? It's because hoses look cool.

Because the alternative is an even more complicated helmet or interior that has an equal chance of breaking. Or so I'd assume.
Might be cables though, looks like it's connected to the shoulder-thingy. But not sure on that note.

There is a Third option, Helmets tend to place a lot of weight on the Neck of the Wearer, That can cause neck and back pain. a simple ridged mount designed to redistribute the weight of the helmet to the shoulders or though a exoskeleton could be added to the helmet allowing reduced neck strain.Β

Looks awesome! Looks like you're going for a character in an environmental/space suit? If so, B needs to be removed from the options. The pants are not sealed at the feet. It doesn't create a safe, closed environment. I like A the best though!

Furr In reply to cyphus5 [2015-05-31 21:47:13 +0000 UTC]
Could be sealed further up, and the pantleg is simply rolled over the seal, maybe to protect it?
