Gorgeous! I love the almost surreal atmosphere that the teared part brings to this! And I love the creative idea too
Btw the teared part reminds me of the Ring movies for some reason

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment So it reminds you the Ring movies? I have not seen the second from the series. Is it because of the shadow?

Ah, I see your point. I've never thought of this before. But there, it's quite interresting how we can interpret the painting in a new way with this in mind Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Your painting is so complete that words can only serve to detract from your work. Thank you for sharing your insight.

I've been thinking.. of how to use words to tell you what I see in this..
and I'm still stumbling...
I have seen a little of this new project of yours, yes.
Which photo of mine were you thinking was flush with this idea?

Sometimes words are not enough, maybe?

It may not be clear yet where Vert-de-pluie is going artistically, but it should be more understandable with the next submissions.
You've always had a very expressive style. It carries strong impressions (and strong words). I have always admired your work for this reason.
There are similarities between the work at Vert-de-pluie and yours... this is why I wrote to you on your userpage.
(A nice day to you)

that is one beautiful painting thomas, so very realistic, but that tear in the mans skin looks terrific. It's a very surreal feeling to it. Always great to look on something different!...original!

I like this a lot. It's a fresh idea, and illustrated very simply -- very effectively. I like the contrast between the smoothness of the forest scene, the fog, and the harsh black and white of the tear. It does the trick perfectly, I couldn't think of a better way.

wow. I cant come up with a good enough comment... but this is great. I cant tell, it looks like you actually ripped the canvas, so if you pianted it like that you did a great job of making it look real. I love the mystery to it... the ambient and dreamlike feel it has like most of your work. Lovely masterpiece.

Thank you sincerely for the compliment. I'm so happy to see how much you appreciated the painting. It took me almost 1 full year to finish the painting, because I couldn't decide how to communicate my idea.
Here's a detail from the painting, you can see the strokes that made the tear: [link]
