This illustration was inspired by a moment featured in the fan-made 'Retro Railway Series/Shuffle'-Book 23: Little Tokyo Friends, Story #3. Kaede comes by to the LTR sheds to tell Thomas that she knows that Rin is going to pick Asa as his girlfriend and that's okay with it. Thomas smiles and says kind words to her, this in response makes Kaede jump onto his buffer beam and give him a kiss on the right side of his face.
