Description
Some time ago I've been in Dublin and visited the Jameson Distillery. Now I suddenly had this image in my mind and just had to do this one. I think it's one of my best aquatints so far.Aquatint on Paper

to make this shadings took forever. About six times in the acid bath until the aquatint was finished...

I cannot believe you did not receive comments for this piece. It is incredible! It reminds me an artist I stumbled upon along time ago. I cannot remember his name, but your work is very similar. I would love to know what techniques you use, and what tools you used.

I just uploaded this piece some minutes ago So I hope there will come more comments.
For this Aquatint I used a zinc plate (not too big, I think about 20 x 10 cm). First I coated the plate with etching ground, for the line etching. Then I put it into nitric acid for about 20 minutes.
After this I put the aquatint corn on it and than I had to etch it again and again. Always for about 5 to 10 seconds. As tools I mainly use self made steel etching needles.
