My newest Silent Hill fan art, for the 50th deviation. Yes, everybody knows him, it's Red Pyramid Thing, a.k.a Pyramid Head, from Silent Hill 2. A mix between Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, with some industiral details in background.Note : This is just an artistic fan art, there is no links with the original story of Silent Hill 2. Pyramid Head and Silent Hill are copyrights of Konami.

Yeah of course.
The old one looks like a piece of modern art master piece. The triangle looks simple but its shape is more complexe than what we can imagine, and the balance with the dress, boots etc... make it a perfect design. It looks very strange, we are not sure what is inside this pyramid. And that abstract impression fits perfectly the world of Silent Hill 2.
The PH in the movie and SH5 is so "wanna-be-badass" looking. All these muscles, blood, scars... make PH just a simple horrible creature, with no special meaning behind it. They put him in the movie and the game (SH5) just because for fan service, and that sucks.

Watch carefully the Fukuro video clip, you'll see a little hole on the pyramid. For me, the presence of this hole shows that the person who draws him is a real fan, not a week-end gamer ^^

I usually used the movie helmet as that's the one I prefer, but I've done a few rough sketches with it... never anything detailed though.

Wonderful composition on these... also the textures, the grating and floor... and those symbols like the seals above the outer bodies... and of course the artwork as a whole
