The Bell Textron Boeing CH-85 Kodiak is the go to heavy lift Helicopter for the Earth Colonial Federation Armed Forces. Like much of the military equipment of the ECF evolution and cost effectiveness is the main design theme. The Kodiak is used to avoid maintenance on the expensive bodies of dropships. To improve lift and thrust the twin slow pumping long stroke fusion engines power two massive inter woven transverse placed rotors. The rotor design allows the Kodiak to stow away in a ship taking up a small amounts of space. This also grants the Kodiak a natural ability to hover making it easier for the crew to fly. The vehicle is able to hold 16 standard cargo pallets, 140 paratroops or 4 M11 Ibexes . Other cargo loads can include 2 M9 IFVs plus their crews, or 100 passengers in airlines styled seating with comfortable accommodations. The Kodiak can also be reconfigured to function as a mobile hospital with fully functioning operating room, pre-op section, laboratory, restroom, scrub facilities, and food storage. All sections of the aircraft are pressurized and air conditioned. However; only the cabin remains pressurized when combat drops are active.
