When the now all-male Gyrans re-entered the interstellar community, they brought Mind-controlled mech scale battle armor on a significant scale. These High Mobility Armored Reaction Suits bring tank-like firepower into a combat platform that can move like any gunship with enough armor to sustain itself in combat without suffering a loss. The first deployment of these that the nations of Orion's arm saw of these was the Krullian House Emmera conflict with the Gyrans. Five Gyran warships and their HMARS under colt companies inflicted casualties on the Krullian forces, who outnumbered them 15 to 1. While many Gyran youths died, their HMARS forced the Krullians into a state of full deployment of their House Fleet. The conflict would last a week before Empress Estha Prax intervened. Despite some issues on age and culture, peace came with all ten Krullian Houses made various trade and security pacts with the Gyrans. Later use of the HMAR Mk4 would support the Krullian House Camith against the Arab Leagues.
Each HMAR has an AESA radar in its chest. A LIDAR unit in its head and both are connected to a visual scanner that the pilot will see similar to their own eyes. Each HMARS has limited flight abilities in the atmosphere, letting it jump about 2 kilometers when planetside. Its primary weapon is a 120mm rifle with 100 rounds and two spare magazines in each forearm for reloading. Other weapons like 30mm and 57mm guns are an option. Krullian code names include Knights for more affectionate names to tri-clops as a pejorative. The wings can hold various weapons from small air to air missiles to heavy nuclear weapons or Axe Head Anti-ship missiles. A single 20mm head cannon will defend from missile attacks. The design, of course, is not without flaws. In an urban environment, the pilot must be aware of multiple angles of attack, and any long-range, large-caliber weapon can snipe the unit from afar. Although for a suit of armor heavily modified from construction equipment, the HMARS MK4 unit does at least change the rules of warfare.
