Description A plush I made for my boyfriend, TheInvertedShadow, based off the pony he created for me in GMod. She took forever to sew, and was a combination of machine and hand sewing.

The main body pattern I found here on DeviantArt and was made from brown velour (soft and fuzzy). The mane and tail were from a pattern I made based off of Fluttershy's mane and tail shape. I got lucky on those since because it was Christmas time, Jo-Ann fabrics had different kinds of Santa hat trims and I found this great fleecy/wooly trim that had little curls already put into it. I didn't have a lot of the stuff (only about a yard by 5 inches rectangle), so the tail is double sided but for the mane I had to back it with white fleece.

A big shout out to my mum who helped me with the cutie mark. She has an embroidery program that let her scan a picture of the mark (the Uktena symbol in this case) and turn it into an embroidery. We used a varigated (multi-shade) thread for the mark. The eyes were also embroidered, but the threads were pretty spaced out for some reason and didn't look quite right. In the end, I painted over them with fabric paints, and I think it looks good.

The finishing touch, the rose. It's just a generic little ribbon rosette you can get from any craft store.

I think I have it done, I just keep forgetting to package it all up and send it. College is insane. I have three classes with labs and a discussion group. Ugh...

The pattern I used was created by Meliadhor, who previously commented on this picture. To make sure it looked correct, I used a pencil with a blunt tip to poke out the nose and then semi-over stuffed it.

.........she looks completely adorable. You did a wonderful job there! Embroidery program? Damn, I'm envious now, all I have is a box with needles and have to sew & embroid? embred.. ok, how do you write I\We embroidery properly in English? Anyway, I had to do my stuff by hand only. She looks as adorable as they get!

Say could you scan & post the pattern you used for tail & mane? I'd love to link it under my pony pattern, next to the wing pattern. That way the next person that does something will have it a bit easier and maybe will design something even better & share it!

Again, great work!

I can try to scan the patterns I used, but I'm not sure where they went. My crafting table's...organized chaos, let's say. I just drew onto your pattern. I figured out the size they needed to be and then figured out the seam allowance to make sure it looked right. The wings were the easiest. Simply a front and a back, drawn directly from the wing design in the show. Then I just stitched the inner wing onto it, just an...embelishment I guess you'd call it.

Oh, and I think the word you were looking for is embroider.
