Description
The assassin who lurks in the night, she strikes with a swift blade. With a form bordering beast and man, she ascends to a greater level. She is the dark counterpart to Taomon. The deadly warrior who stalks the shadows…Spectermon. She fights tooth and nail to protect her tamer, and will even tear the very soul out of her enemies to do so. But this power belies something even greater hiding beneath the surface…Spectermon is Rune's Ultimate form and is an evolution unique only to herself and her sister Jade. Her right arm is equipped with a sturdy, but lightweight plate armor and a retractable emerald energy blade which can pierce heavily armored foes with ease. Unlike her right arm, Rune's left is imbued with a corrupt ancient Digital magic, allowing her to not only manipulate the battlefield around her, but her opponent's as well. When enraged, Rune can even extract her opponent's Digicore (heart/soul) directly from their bodies to heal herself. No one has ever heard Spectermon's voice or seen her face and lived except for her Tamer Thorn to whom she is fully devoted.

Tear the very soul out of her foes? YIKES!! I knew Renamon is a Digimon of power no matter what her form, but this is just scary.
Also, I like the job you did here. It's very original in terms of Renamon forms.

Well, Rune is far from being your average Renamon and her lack of empathy towards anything that stands in her and her tamer's way can be rather scary.

Wow. And I thought a Rendramon with blood red fire that can scar even the most fireproof of metals was scary. And if he can do that with blood red fire, I shudder knowing what he can do with white fire.
Yeah, I'm not the biggest Taomon fan either. I always preferred the rookie level form. Sakuyamon might be strong, but i find the origins of it sickening. I mean, she bio-merged with Rika. My most favorite Digimon merged with my least favorite Digimon character?

Digimon can get pretty powerful in their upper forms.
I liked how Rika matured as a character as the season progressed, how she opened up not only to Renamon but her the other tamers and her mother as well.

While Rune's forms do ascend to burst mode, I'd rather not reveal them just yet. If you want a duel, do it with your ultimate.

(No, Rune extracts her opponents Digicore from a distance. She reaches her left arm out with an open palm, then closes her hand and yanks in backwards through the air. The Digicore is then ripped right out of her opponents chest, leaving a sizable hole behind before being absorbed into Rune's body. Though, Rune can only do this on a weak/weakened opponent)

Yep, Spectermon can extract from practically all Rookies, most Champions, some Ultimates, and a few weakened Megas.

(It took me a year just to come up with an appropriate idea for the Volkamon Mega, and I had to ultimately digress to "borrowing" an Ultimate form from the Generator Rex TV series.

(Well, I wanted Rune to have her own, unique evolution line while still retaining her Renamon origin. Took a lot of sleepless nights, but I'm proud of how she turned out.)
