Description
One of my paintings of the Heathen gods and goddesses.This is Modglod the guardian of the road to Hel, the land of the Ancestors. Behind her is the bridge at the boundary of Hel where the spirits of the dead make their way to the underworld.
She has various symbols of death, a pattern from an Anglo-Saxon cremation urn, ravens and yew.
