There were no victors in that dreadful war. All but one fled beyond the reaches of any beyond their own, biding their anger in secret until they could have their vengeance. At last, that day had come. His scales were black as the deepest night, his wings covered with iron barbs, and his heart filled with malice for those who had killed his brethren hundreds of years ago: Nahkriindrun. It had not always been his name, but it had been his to take. And all would come to fear it.
