By the gods, I swore that if I ever had to step foot in that hellish place again, I would flee past the outermost reaches of the realm. I had it all planned out: If the Order came for me after deserting, I would join a smuggler's crew from the port of Greymarch, hide in an empty barrel below deck to avoid the inspection, then sail with them until we reached the southern island of Shal-kari. It's said that the sands are not yellow, but a light, beautiful orange, and that the sun lasts late into the evening. If it came to that, that's where I would go, never to return.
