Spent my entire weekend on this one, andΒ it was worth it.I'm glad with how it turned out, a gift for corrvo , drawing of his character, Mati.

Oh my, this is so lovely! I just love sunsets and this is well done. The detail is gorgeous. You made Mati quite an elegant and attractive anthropomorphic blue jay, m'dear!

Luckily my gallery is so small, thanks to quality over quantity factors hehe, so its not so hard to find some stuff.
Maybe soon ill have full pictures colored and shaded using my new shade, linework, coloring, and template style (pretty much everything ever since i last uploaded will look maybe twice as good as it did

Finally had a chance to collect some thoughts ^v^ First of all, thatβs a stunning background! You hit a perfect complement of atmosphere and mood with the balance of cool and warm colors β painting gradients like you did with the water are tough to accomplish and you really accomplished it! ^v^Β Secondly, I love the breezy feeling you gave it, thereβs just something about the composition that feels breezy, which is something I love to see!

Lastly, Mati herselfβ¦ Iβve been watching you style progress and I can definitely see the culmination of your efforts ^v^ Your style and interpretation applied to Matiβ¦.the results are amazing.Β Also, the armband spiral you put on her right wing really adds a nice touch of Greek classicism to the overall feeling ^v^Β

Mati was the hardest part in my opinion mainly the face, it's always the face. Since I draw the eyes kind of small compared to how they're usually drawn, I had to figure out how I was going to make it look like her with my style. Not only that but I also have to catch the pure beauty of her, and that is not something I thought I could behold.
I really got a lot of positive feedback from others including you ^v^. It drives me to make more like this because apparently people really love the colors and atmosphere.
(By the way this took me about 30 hours to complete... I think, I'm not sure though).

Well I THOUGHT my gifts for :iconcorrvl: were "good enough". Seems like I was wrong. Oh well. I guess since they weren't good enough for him I should just take them down then. Thanks for opening my blind eyes.

and I don't know whether or not it's "good enough", I think he just hasn't decided to favorite it. He did favorite one of my first deviations last year and that drawing was really ugly, I think he just wanted to help though, which he did and was really nice of him. Your gifts are good in my opinion.
