The Shoulder Pyro! Though after a server my household plays on sometimes I can't help but think of it as a Pyro Pocket Pal. I've been wanting to make something TF2 related for months now, and then when my housemate showed me the image in the lower left I knew it was time. I eyeballed out a new pattern based on my usual one, spent the rest of the evening working and now I have this!

Pyro is my favorite class anyhow, (As briefly chronicled in my housemate's hilarious comic here: [link] I'm the hat Pyro! : D) so the idea of a shoulder Pyro was extra appealing. and the design of it was so much simpler than the actual Pyro. Even so I consider this a prototype--the goggles and valves and such were cut out of craft foam and look rough around the edges to me..I'm not sure what I could find that would be circles in the right shape, I'll have to raid the craft store.

I'd like to make them little horns and a halo too, they have magnets in their head already so they could accept either-- and on that subject I didn't flip the middle image, the little valve on the side of their mask is also magnetic and can be positioned on either side, since the two shoulder Pyros have the valve on different sides. : ) This one will be either! I'll post another pic later when I have horns and a halo-- not sure how to make the halo though since the image looks like it has one free floating.

This Shoulder Pyro or Pyro Pal is made from fleece, with craft foam and very shiny pleather incorporated in the mask details, and black twine stitched on the front. He/She is about 10" tall.

The Pyro belongs to Valve and is not mine, nor is the reference image in the lower left of the collage.
