Nicely done, Doc. Since we've done at least three of these guys (we'll focus on the last couple later), let's move out of the freezing snow, and enter the grassy plains of South America. This time, we'll be tackling the mighty Carakiller:  TFIW: FABA CarakillerSpecies Name: Diaptrius imperiator
Ancestor: Mountain Caracara
Height: 5 feet
Weight: 50-70 lbs
Length: 4 feet

Life Span: 40-50 years
Diet: Carnivorous

Habitat: Amazonian Grasslands
Behavior: Pack Hunters
Description: While Babookaris are strictly foragers...these flightless giants are hunting parties! Tall enough to stare down a human, they're cunning and ruthless on their prey. Since a whole group of Babookaris could easily outmaneuver a single one, Carakillers work out a grand ambush strategy. One or two sneaks along the tall grass unseen, while the others drive the troop towards the unseen assassins. Most of the group will escape, but one or two will be caught, and promptly bashed in the head by their sharp beaks and talons.
But simply ambushing prey isn't enough to survive here when you're such a large bird; you also, among ot

Yes! I love Carakillers!
I'll get started on this one as soon as I can.

Oh, and for future reference (no pun intended), Shagsheep's Number 4 on the creature list, right above the Driftprowler (we'll get to that one soon enough) and the Gannetwhale.

I am about to upload the Carakiller artwork in a few minutes (I know it's taken a while, but I promise the wait was worth it), what number are we placing it as?

That'll be Number 13, right between the Babookari and the Grass Dog. I know what you're about to say, "Wait, what? I thought there weren't any canines in this version." And you'd be right; but after a long reevaluation of my series' plausibility, I've decided that both cats and dogs deserve a fair chance in surviving without us.

Speaking of, that's our next entry for this:  TFIW: FABA Grass WolfSpecies Name: Chrysocyon swiftensis

Ancestor:
 Maned Wolf

Height: 4 feet
Weight: 100-150 lbs
Length: 5 feet (6 feet plus tail)

Life Span:
 30-40 years
Diet: Carnivore
Habitat: Amazonian Grasslands

Behavior: Solitary Hunter
Description: As sure as night follows day, the dog follows other predators into the future. Besides the Grass Dog, there's also the Grass Wolf. Descended from the Maned Wolf, these long-legged canines were able to properly regroup without human interference getting in the way. Naturally adept to a life among tall grass, its legs are now a longer, and so has its body and neck.
Sprinting at about 70 miles an hour, they often compete with Carakillers over food and territory. Albeit, this is a bit more one-sided, considering that Carakillers can usually gang up on even the most persiste
