In the old Nordic myths, Elfs do age and grow old. Light Elfs are said to grow taller and stronger as they age, but old Elfs are described as having breasts so long that they have to throw them over their shoulders to run and earlobes that hang down to the shoulders. They have always been depicted as having dog or like feet too.
