The So'o are werechimpanzees, those people who have made dark pacts with unholy forces so that when the moon is full, they begin to change - their skin turns pale, their eyes turn dark, bones lengthen, fangs grow, muscles double, body hair sprouts and they become the ruthless, intelligent monsters of the moon.
