well, it could be interpreted as man's greed and the morbid use of natural resources... also, it implies the objectification present in modern culture. everything is a product that must be used to achieve whatever ends. the rupture of symbiosis between humans and the planet they inhabit. earth is no longer a partner, companion, god... it is a prey and a whore to be exploited mercilessly... or something like that...
