Thanks! It really was. I can totally understand the whole spiritual nature of buddhism when you are in a country like Bhutan. I think the buildings are far more beautiful and in keeping with the country than many of the churches here.

I think I was a buddhist in a former life. Churches dont move me. Seeing Taktsang brought a tear to my eye.

Don't get me wrong there are some beautiful churchs but they always feel to me like they are imposing and intimidating.

What buildings in auld town do it for you? I have say i prefer parts of the New town like Charlotte Square.

And as for more modern..lots of people at my work dont like the Gateway but I really quite like it. I love the turbine.

Well there aren't any specific ones but just the pretty huge ones that take my breath away, but places like Mary Kings close and Gladstones land- i just LOVE!! hhahai think they are awesome!hah
where is the gateway- i have heard of it just never really seen it! tbh i quite like the parliment building even though it looks like an upturned boat#1 hahah

The John Hope Gateway is the new visitor centre at RBGE.

I do like the parliment too but then I am a rampant nationalist
