Description At this point there I had been walking for two days in the forest and ahead lay twelve days more. The altitude was about 2800m (9100ft). The stupa at the meeting point where the Yaksa valley branches off from the main Paro valley.

Stupas appear everywhere where there are crossroads, bridges or passes in the mountains. I respected the Bhutanese tradition of passing round to the left to pay my repect to the local deities.
