I heard I got his great strength from none other than Mammoth Mogul, who also gave Mina Mongoose her Sonic speed (but she lacked control and even panicked at a crucial moment, thus motivating her to retire from super heroics -permanently.)

These revelations were made long after I dropped Sonic.
