Mist creatures are extremely dangerous monsters that dwell in the unusually heavy mist and will kill all living things on sight. They're gray with black eyes, mouth, and black blotches on their face and skin. They are heavily carnivorous and will eat or kill any living thing that runs or walks. Fortunately, their durability is relatively weak, making them easy to kill. To counter this weakness, the mist creatures have enhanced speed and use the mist as their cover to make ambush attacks. Their strength is rather complicated, though. While the mist creatures can easily rip any living beings to shreds and destroy some types of armor, they can't seem to open, break, or shatter doors, windows, glass, hatches, or stronger armor. No reason is found for this defect. Their origins are complicated as well, since there have been stories describing many types of creatures in the mist, but common sightings are of humanoid or human-like mist creatures. One thing is certain, though.. When the unusually heavy mist rolls in, stay inside. The chances of staying alive and surviving are 100% if you're indoors or in a vehicle. Regarding the mist itself, it can actually infect any being in existence, even engines if they're not careful. Fortunately, infections only happen if someone has an open wound for the most part, though there's been some cases where someone got slightly infected by the mist, despite not having any open wounds on their body. The strange thing about the mist itself is that for unknown reasons, it opens gateways where beings and engines from different dimensions can end up in one place for a while until they get sent back to their proper dimensions. Durations of the mist vary with the mist being around from less than three days to more than a month or two. The best plan to survive the mist and the creatures that come with the mist is to make sure you have everything you need, have all doors and windows locked, be armed in case you have to go outside, and have the blinds closed. People who are slightly to moderately infected by the mist, but still able to maintain, even keep their sanity and soul, are granted immunity from the mist and the monsters, though the pain from the infection is said to feel like being doused in acid from those who were slightly to moderately infected by the mist.
