Maya for creating the 3D model, I used the original textures from the game;
Pepakura for the unfold;
Photoshop for cleaning-up, minor corrections, enhancing decals and the instructions

Stunning little model. Well done.
I've printed out the parts. Just getting the courage to attempt my first ever papercraft build...
I really want to build the UHU02 Tie Fighter but, oh my goodness, I think I have a year of practice ahead of my first.

Yes, UHU02 is definitely one of the master designers but his projects are extremely complex.
For a first ever build I'd even advise against my models, I like small parts. There are some easier Tie fighters out there that you can try first. I do recommend starting with an easy model or two, just to get the hang of it, but don't worry, it gets easier very fast.
Of course if you really are interested in the hobby, why not join up at zealot.com and/or papermodelers.com, there are lots of extremely friendly people on both forums willing to give advice and assistance.

I've just joined both sites, under name "Spartacus".
I've already started cutting the Cerberus, it's fiddly but I think the cut lines are clean. I guess the worst that happens is I lose the paper and a few hours work.
I've got a couple TIE kits, I want to try the (still hard) Leonf repaint of Ninjatoes version, but also the easy (but boxy) TIE Defender and Phantom. They look like they could be done in a couple of hours so if I get disheartened with this build I can take a break and knock them up.
Anyway thanks for the response. Hope to do the SR2 justice.

That's great news man! Good luck with the build. Don't worry too much, it's easier than it looks. You'll get the hang of it in no time.

They are pretty small, about 18cm in length.

ahh. Is there a way you could make a bigger one? I got the stuff for a sr1 but I would like to put a good sized sr2 right next to the 1 on the shelf.

Nope. There's a guy working on a big one that will have the interior, so I'm not upscaling this one. Sorry...

Hehehe. Thanks for the compliments! Of course if you really can't wait, there's always the option of printing it on larger paper...

Over at zealot.com a guy is working on a larger scale version with interior. He's doing a great job so far and I don't want to step on his toes, that's why I'm so adamant on not enlarging this one. I can't wait for his to come out!

I have a reaper on my to do list but it will be several months before I'll have anything to show for it.
Just do a search for ME papercraft and you'll find loads of links.
