I...It...
It's just too soon...
I mean...-sighs-

I've forced myself to understand and believe that there is little to no chance Rosie is still alive.
She's been outside in the freezing cold for almost a week now. There's so many stray cats around, too...so...I...yeah.
I mean, the optimism in me it telling me don't give up, she's perfectly fine, she's alive.
But the logic in me says to ignore my optimism. That she's dead.
And I'm being pessimistic for the first time in my life.
She's dead.
I accept it.

I just wish...that...
mmm.
I cried so much while I was drawing this.

Rosie was...not really the average rat.
She had such personality. She was sweet, sensitive to feelings, and had a knack for getting into as much trouble as possible. She would kill you for mashed potatoes.
Out of the original three, she was definitely my favorite.
She and Cornflower were really close. When Corn died, Rosie had a panic attack it took ages for me to calm her down from.
And I think that's what changed her.
After Corn died, she had a lapse in chewing the cage apart. But then she started again, and she started getting out, going places. She finally found her way outside, and we brought her back in, got a new cage for her. She wasn't happy.
She got out again, and chewed the phone up. She got outside again, and I haven't since her since. A week ago.

But...enough of that.
Rosie is...up there, in Heaven, being hugged by Cornflower.
Her best friend.

God, please take care of my little explorer. Don't let her wander...
