Canon 70-200 2.8 I cant recommend many nikon lenses bcause I dont know so much about Nikon hopefully you'll find what you want

You're using the exact same lens I'm thinking about buying! Is it hard to focus with this much zoom? Or do you use tripod maybe? I imagine you need a steady hand.

No, the focus is very fast and good even with 550D body which I'm using. I haven't needed tripod The lens weights 1,5kg Β so it feels quite heavy sometimes... Lens' stabilizers helps too. Great lens. I would like to buy it for myself(I have lent this one) but then I should buy better camera than 550D

You're welcome. My 550D is over 3 years old I have tried 5D mk ll, compared to that 550D is like a little plastic toy
