i agree! arthur c clarke was a pioneer of believing magic and technology to be one and the same. i love the idea of it so much.

I love to experiment with the various ideas, and what you can do with it in terms of fiction: The warp from Warhammer 40k, Anomalies in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro 2033, Bill Cipher, Rick's various tech, the Ringworld from Niven's ringworld series, etc..
It can be broad and varied, and you can do so insane amount of things with it!Β

Interesting! It attracts me for the same reason, aswel as fantasy making it not as far-fetched as some may think. It even makes sure that various media and pop-culture CAN be connected into one big universe rivaling our own!
