For example the nelf dk models infront. They look really awesome.
I mean I've seen something similiar to this and I think I have an idea how to "make it" but it simply didn't look anything close to yours xD

The main trick(s) that I use to make the standing models like that is.

Once rendered, take a very soft brush and just blur the edges slightly (take away the sharpness) and then hit it once or twice with "Topaz Clean" (You can enter your email for a free trial, and repeat when it runs out).

Aside from that, I usually go back over and see if there's any spaces I can add a kind of "Glow" effect, either where there are glows in game, or where I can add them. And I just brush the Burn / Dodge tool to kind of change the way the shadows and highlights look. It's pretty much just playing around until you get something you like.

Take the worgen Druid for example, I added the shadows under his hood, made the tips/moons/circles glow, and shadowed parts of his feet bcause he's behind the gnome.
