Description
This is Rani's first time visiting the Pride Lands, former home of her mate, Kion. As she sits under a shady spot away from the hot sun and getting acquainted with Kion's two cubs shared with his former mate, Tiifu. She's finishing telling her life story to Shujaa and Uzani and what life at the Tree of Life is like. Uzani is starting to have seconds thoughts about Queen Rani and she would make a pretty awesome step-mother to her and Shujaa while Shujaa on the other paw still feels this royal lioness is butting in and interfering in on his families lives by just being there in the picture so he's pretty hesitant in her presence and as Rani goes on telling him and his sister about her life and her family he tries to avoid her gaze as much as possible. But his ears perk suddenly at the sound of a very much familiar and friendly call of his mother. Tiifu approaches as Zuri lingers back behind. Uzani and Shujaa get to their feet as they both turn to look at their mother. Rani also peers up curiously at the sight of Kion's previous mate she sure seemed like a bright and bubbly lioness by the way she spoke to her cubs, and she knew where exactly Uzani inherited her bright personality from. Tiifu is reminding both her cubs that they have training sessions with Vitani's Lion Guard soon and doesn't want them to be late. Tiifu finally notices Rani taking in the sight of her and her cubs interacting with each other almost as if she's observing their relationships. Tiifu gathers her cubs together as she bows respectfully to Queen Rani but says coolly "Excuse us, Queen Rani." She walks back over to Zuri as she looks at her best friend with concern. Uzani and Shujaa share in with Zuri's concern for their mother and stepmother both as they look at each other. Despite how minor their interaction was it was definitely a very awkward situation and they both felt it in their paws as did their mother and Zuri as the four of them continue to trek back to Pride Rock.
