"Kion." Someone called. Kion turned around and to his surprise, it was Nyota who called him while walking up to him. "Nyota! Hi." Kion replied to Nyota with a smile. "Are you... doing alright?" Nyota asked Kion with a worried expression. "Nyota, the venom from my scar is gone. I'm doing just fine." Kion replied to Nyota with a chuckle. "But the real question is, how's your memory coming along?" Kion asked Nyota with a worried expression, remembering when he accidently Roared at Baliyo over the mountain pass, and at Nyota, hitting her head hard on the rocks in the process. "I'm doing fine Kion. My amnesia's gone, I remember everything." Nyota replied with a chuckle as she and Kion started walking together. "I'm glad to hear that." Kion said to Nyota with a smile then frowned while stopping, which Nyota noticed. "Kion, it wasn't your fault. You lost control of your Roar again." Nyota tried to reassure Kion while sitting in front of him with a worried expression. "I don't know. It's just... " Kion began to say but stopped as tears began to form in his eyes, which surprised Nyota. "When I saw you laying there not moving... I just couldn't believe the fact that I actually hurt you." Kion started while sitting in front of Nyota as more tears started to form in his eyes. "And when you woke up, not remembering anything... that made me realize that it was my fault that you had gotten hurt, and that you had amnesia." Kion finished as tears started to roll down his cheeks.

Nyota, who felt the same pain Kion was feeling, placed her head under his as tears started to form in her eyes. "Remember the day when you tried to avoid using the Roar?" Nyota asked Kion while nuzzling his chest. "The day when I accidently Roared in anger which caused the ground to split that nearly lost my mom? Yeah, I remember." Kion replied still tearing up. "Do you also remember what I said to you that day?" Nyota asked still trying to reassure Kion. "That I'm nothing like Scar." Kion replied after he and Nyota broke the nuzzling and looking each other in the eyes. "But that was before I got my scar." Kion added "That doesn't matter Kion." Nyota said as more tears started to form in her eyes. "When I look at you, I don't see Scar in your eyes. What I see is a fierce, brave and true Lion that I became best friends with back at the Pride Lands." Nyota added while smiling at Kion. "And what I said, about how you are nothing like Scar, I meant it and I still mean it from the bottom of my heart Kion." Nyota said as tears began to roll down her cheeks. "And you know what? Even when I look at you now, after all that has happened, after what you have done and what you did to me, I still see the fierce, brave and true Kion I've always known." Nyota reassured which caused Kion to smile at her. "What would I do without you?" Kion asked Nyota still smiling. "You'll always have me." Nyota replied as she and Kion nuzzled each other.

"Isn't it hard to believe on how far we've gone from the day we first met?" Nyota asked Kion as she broke the nuzzling and looking at him in the eyes with a smile. "Oh wow! I can hardly believe it." Kion replied Nyota while they both chuckled while the air around them began to fill up with music.

Nyota: We were strangers, starting out on a journey,
Never dreaming, what we had to go through,
Now here we are, I'm suddenly standing,
At the beginning with you.

Kion: No one told me, I was going to find you,
Unexpected, what you did to my heart,
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me,

Kion and Nyota: This is the start.

At this point, Kion and Nyota started having flashbacks about their childhood together during the rainy season.

And life is a road that I wanna keep going,
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing,
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey.

I'll be there when the world stops turning,
I'll be there when the storm is through,
In the end I wanna be standing,
At the beginning with you.

After having flashbacks, Kion and Nyota started to run across the different habitats of the Tree of Life.

Nyota: We were strangers, on a crazy adventure,

Kion: Never dreaming, how our dreams would come true.

Kion and Nyota: Now here we stand, unafraid of the future,
At the beginning with you.

After running across the Tree of Life's lands, Kion and Nyota stopped at a pond and as they looked at the pond, their reflection changed into a younger version of themselves, then they started to have some more flashbacks about their childhood during the dry season.

And life is a road that I wanna keep going,
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing,
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey.

I'll be there when the world stops turning,
I'll be there when the storm is through,
In the end I wanna be standing,
At the beginning with you.

Knew there was somebody, somewhere,
A new love in the dark.
Now I know my dream will live on,
I've been waiting so long,
Nothing's gonna tear us apart.

After having flashbacks about the dry season, they started to have flashbacks about their journey to the Tree of Life and what led up to that journey.

And life is a road that I wanna keep going,
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing,
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey.

I'll be there when the world stops turning,
I'll be there when the storm is through,
In the end I wanna be standing,
At the beginning with you.

After having those flashbacks about their childhood, they looked at their reflection again and saw that they have combined together, one side showed Kion's left and the other side showed Nyota's right.

Life is a road that I wanna keep going,
Love is a river, I wanna keep going...

Kion: On.

Nyota: Starting out on a journey.

Kion and Nyota: Life is a river I wanna keep going,
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing.
In the end I wanna be standing,
At the beginning...
With you.

After they got done singing, Kion and Nyota looked at each other smiling then nuzzled each other, not out of friendship but out of love, which caused Nyota to break the nuzzle and look at Kion in the eyes with a dreamy expression. "I love you, Kion." Nyota confessed, which caused Kion to smile even bigger. "I love you too, Nyota." Kion replied as both he and Nyota started nuzzling each other again while enjoying each other's compony.
