Description
After recovering a Venator class Star destroyer from an outer rim system, Elana took it and a recovered but badly damaged ISD to the Utopia ship yards in the sol system. There she had the Venator refitted and upgraded with the best technologies and systems available to the Federation, the Rebellion, and the stolen Imperial plans and ships. Increased to the size of an ISD, the ship became a template for a new version of the legendary ship class from the clone wars. The Venator II class Star destroyer is equipped with the most powerful phaser arrays ever produced by the Federation, including an enhanced version of a built-in beam weapon which was moved to the underside of the ship. The weapon itself is retractable and when not in use remains in a compartment which is protected by blaster doors. The ship also has a number of projectile weapons including photon torpedoes, quantum torpedoes, and photonic missiles and finally a number of powerful tractor beams to slow down or stop a ship in it’s place.

The ship’s giant hangar has one set of gigantic doors on the top of the ship which open up fully on the red stripe as well as two smaller openings on the port and starboard sides, again protected by blast doors. The hanger house is a large complement of starfighters and shuttlecraft such as the legendary X-wing, The speedy A-wing, the heavily armored Y-wing, {vastly improved with Federation technology}, the Danube Runabout and finally the Delta Flyer. While the Federation originally thought such a ship unnecessarily, the Venator II proved it’s worth, taking down a number of Borg assimilated and enhanced ISDs and TIE-fighters on it’s own before backup arrived to aid the ship. The ship has since used as a mobile base and a half way transport for starfighters, saving fuel to be used for longer engagements and more hyperspace and warp jumps.
