I have a dogdame ear and sinus infection and my dogdam foot hurts!! aargh! XbWell, just a larger image from the collage I posted earlier.
I am still workin' on my Sherlock doujin, and when i get into a low mood or I'm sick, I sketch fanart. So this is one of them.
I can't help feelin' sorry for Joker, his face and all, hmm...
Oh! I have a question:
Does anyone know what it means when, in a comicbook, someone is talking and thier dialogue balloon is written in all lowercase letters? Are they like, whispering or something? Lemme know! ^_^
'Kay, back to inking Sherlock--I'd say i am a little under 9/10 of penciling & inking (I'm on page 78 somehting now I think).
After that I still gotta edit, add minor stuff, add tone, dialogue, resize, and all that other stuff--plus I still gotta find a way to get the darn thing printed (self publish or a publisher >_< hmmm).

Id like to pick you brain in interest to your drawings of this pair. You bring out so much emotion whether it be humour or something so sad and litterally makes you want to hug Joker too. Joker is such a sad character that he makes me depressed even though he is fictional(gets attached to most characters...lame, I know...).
I could never finish such a work without going mentally crazy with sadness!

This almost makes me want to cry. Not in a bad way. More like I feel so sad for the Joker. You got some great emotion into this. I'm not sure you meant to but it seems like the Joker is elated that he's with Batman. My brain kinda goes for the "Its over now that you're here." thing. I guess I'm just odd. But other than my psychotic rantings this is a great drawing.

No, not weird at all, I agree with you very much of Jokers reactions to batman being there for him, and I feel sorry for him as well, and I wanted to show my sympathy in the sketch.
In the comic book issue that featured Jokers confrontation with Batman with his new look, he said to Batman in terms of this, "You want to know what its like to be me? Do you want to know what it feels like to be the butt of the worlds jokes?" And his history came to me when I read that--nothing ever went well for this guy, that's how he became what he is >_<
Besides that, in Jokers new look, he has a perculiar scar on his forehead that Batman is kissing. This scar is unusual becasue, from the way it is drawn, up close it highly resembles a red rose with thorns spreading out from the center.
And me, being a dirty minded yaoi mangaka, I have heard the term 'rosebud/flower bud' used to refer to the male rear entry *ahem*

Well, at least I hope to have interpreted it that way in the drawing---And why the writers/artists decided to make such a visible suggestive scar is a wonder to me. It could be unintentional or not, but for one that cannot ignore the homosexual ambiguity in media, I have come to associate the 'new scar' with a specific part of male anatomy (as strange as that is XD).
Well, now that I have embarrassed myself XD, I thank you very much for your extensive comments and support of my drawings, I greatly appreciate them ^_^ Its not often someone writes something that will give me a chance to explain something I hold back, and I enjoy being able to share my thought on certain drawings, although I hope I did not give an impression of vulgarity. f I have I ask for pardon >_<

Yah, all lower case is whispering, all caps is yelling. They're always yelling & exclamationing everything.
I'm still cracking up over this weeks issue of Batman where Alfred messes with Batman's head big time.

the r.i.p. joker is so creepy. the slicked back hair reminds me of hannibal lecter and that gwynplaine smile... *shudder* (hope i got that name right o.O)

i think in this one the joker looks like the comforting gestures from batman are like some sort of salvation for him. impressive.. *loves*
@your question: are the letters in a different font than the others? if yes, the lowercase letters could emphasize the different font / strange voice. if not... mh, spontaneously i'd say that looks more childish. maybe naive. or the person speaks a little lower than usual. (some suggestions. maybe i could help you on a little..)

Here's what I think: If it's in a dialogue balloon, it means they're speaking low, either to themselves of to someone else. If it's in a dialogue ballon and italicized, that means it is whispering. If it's not in a dialogue balloon, they're speaking to themselves, or to another person without the intent of an answer.
