Description
LoreAs train weights continued to grow so did the need for larger engines to haul the trains. The Knut class’s most notable flaw was their small steaming capacity. To remedy this engineers built a boiler with a large and heavy firebox which they placed between the engines driving wheels for stability. To support the rest of the boiler a 2 axel bogie of the same design used for the Bo class was used, this resulted in an engine of similar strength but greater stamina than their forebears. The Alistar class was the start of a long line of Northeyan eight-wheelers which for a long time was the most numerous type of engine running on its rails.
