This may suit 'Erewhon', my hypothetical terrestrial mega-moon of real tau Ceti 'f' sub-neptunian.

Face-locked, tidal-warmed, about 2/3 Earth sized...

Long, long ago, passing aliens began a terraforming project to convert its warm, wet CO2 atmosphere to something more congenial to oxygen breathers. After a few, widely spaced visits to seed an increasingly complex biome, funding stopped, the project was forgotten. Unwatched, land and sea photosynthesis slurped enough CO2 that, combined with precession etc, the mega-moon chilled to an enduring ice-age with lots of tundra...
