Trying to teach myself to draw Lilo. These quick headshots were sketched from the original movie. The red one I did later without a reference.Related content

Thanks so much for posting this. Your sketches help remind me of how our drawings are based on simple shapes before the detail is added. I always freak out when trying to draw humans but this example has helped me realize what I kept forgetting to do in the first place.

Awww! I love Lilo.
I remember all of those poses, of course, except for the red one.
You always seem to catch on to any characters unique style pretty quick.

I wanna see it. It looks to be better than the Stitch movie, at least animation-wise, but I guess the Stitch movie was only meant to kick off the series.

I imagine she's a difficult character to get just right, what with the really unique style that guy has. Looks like you're doing just fine with it though.

Those are quite good sketches of her. Lilo seems quite hard to draw, but Stitch is a bit easier IMO. Usually, his head is in a shape of an upside-down cup with a round koala nose, chihuahua ears, big black eyes, and such. I did try drawing him once with his mouth closes, drawings him with his mouth open was difficult for me.

I've been working on drawing them too, posted a couple of my Star Wars themed ones in my gallery. I've gotten Lilo and Stitch down, now I'm working on Nani and Jumba.
