True. Most young soldiers on all sides of WW2 basically were either drafted or had joined with the intentions of serving their country. The sad thing is: history is written by the victors and some parts of history slowly become forgotten as time goes on.

I like to think this version of Weiss is half-Russian, half-German (though she could also be Swiss or Austrian), hence her German name.
