This is a drawing I did of Wilme from the Super Nintendo game "The 7th Saga". The game is pretty harsh and definitly requires a fair bit of level grinding. I don't know when/if I'll colour this but I wanted to put up the line art at least.Anyways, Wilme is one of seven apprentices who were trained by King Lemele. After five years of solid training, Lemele decides to give his apprentices a final test to prove thier mettle. He sends them all in search of the seven sacred runes which are told to be scattered across the world. According to legend, these runes when gathered together will grant the one who finds them the power to rule all of Ticondera.
Wilme was one of the stranger apprentices. Being generally feared and mocked by others as well as the other apprentices, Wilme definitly has a complex or two. His personal goal for wanting to collect the runes is for him to prove that he's just as good or even better then the other apprentices and to prove his worth to the world. His brash nature and temper definitly don't assist in people liking him any better...
I don't know, I like to think that deep down Wilme isn't that bad a guy... Like he just needed some love and hugs. XD
A great big thanks to for advice and helping me out with proper body structuring. ( I seriously need to study up on anatomy more >.< )

Very good drawing of Wilme. He was one of my favorite's to use. I do think he is kinda misunderstood but also very harsh and arrogant. He kinda reminds me of Bass and Vegeta. Not evil, but he's certainly irritated easily, arrogant and always trying to prove something. The only actual "evil" apprentice is Lejes, since he's said he wants to take over the world for himself. And also the fact that he's a demon, and demons are rarely good.

Haha, a few years ago back when I brought my old classic games over to my friends house for a game party (among Secret of Evermore, Illusion of Gaia, and several others) I put this in. We got to the character selection and my friend pointed out Wilme and said something like "He's the badass evil guy, eh?". So I said "Nah, he just wants a hug." XD
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought this.

ye i used to love this game - i almost finished it on rentals alone! Lejes was my favourite character! He just looked so cool in the game.

^^ I've just rediscovered how darn fun this game is. Glad to see there's SOME fanart out there. XD I like the butterfly, it's a nice touch. I never really likd Wilme that much, but that's probably because in my game he was the traitor.

Actually the traitor in the game is randomized, you were just unlucky to get him. I however ended up with the Dwarf...that guys friggin hard!
One gripe I do have with Wilme is that his in-game sprite looks nothing like his awesome manual artwork. A friend of mine put it quite simply, he looks like a freaking carrot with a loin cloth!

I know its randomized--notice I said 'in MY game'. But I mean, it does tend to make you hold a grudge.
As to the official artwork quip, while it is true of Wilme, it is also true of Lejes. I mean in the game, his sprite looks basically like a human with horns and spiky blue legs, while in the official artwork, he's...green. Yeah, the sprites ofr that game really didnt fit the pictures.

hehe small pointer about the finer inner lines which you blurred slightly, they'd look a bit better if refined to 2pt brush if possible, depending on what the other finer lines are. Rule of thumb is that it's half the pts for the secondary lines (IE chest, lines between the claws) but other than that, it looks fantastic ^..^
