Another redraw of an old drawing. I am kinda liking the story so far on this, and I believe I will do a kinda like writing thing to it, just because. I love the background of this though.

Story:

The tan lioness was walking along the beautiful grassy plain, not far from Priderock. She smelled the fresh air and let the grass slowly and gently brush against her pelt. The light added to her beauty, and she just wandered. The animals were thriving on the hot sun beside the waterhole, and the queen watched her land carefully. She sat under a shade of a dark tree, on a rock that was her regular spot to rest on a day like this. The small lake beside it was shining on the sun, allowing anyone to see through the crystal clear water.

The day was beautiful. She layed on the warm rock, thinking about her next move. She found out the truth. The cold, morbid truth about her mate. How could he! He betrayed her trust and love. He killed off someone who was most loved. Suddenly, a rustle behind her snaps her out of her thoughts. She turns her head around to spot a orange lion, his black mane shining on the sun. It was Scar, her friend. He was nothing like his brother. He was distant, but friendly and loving. She smiles softly at his presence, perking her ear.

-'Sarabi, we need to talk', the orange lion spoke softly, his look betraying his pain. There was no other choice to make.

-'Of course. Is it about Mufasa', she looked at him worryingly, as he sat beside her, his head lowered. He frowned a bit at the spoken name.

-'Yes. Look Sarabi. I know you feel pain as much as I do. You saw him threatening your pride sisters and even going so far as harming them and killing them. We can't live like this anymore. Sarafina and your sisters agree with me. And so do the rest', the lion tried to reason her, hinting at his little plan. The lioness looks at him, a worried expression on her face. She was thinking it through.

-'I know but, overthrowing him would mean some of us could get badly hurt or dead', the lioness claimed.

-'Oh I don't want to overthrow him just yet. We need to leave this place', the lion reasoned her, approaching a inch closer. The lioness looks at him with a mildly surprised look.

-'I can't leave now! What about the pride! They will feel betrayed that I left them!', Sarabi spoke with a worried tone. She didn't want to leave without her pride. She couldn't!

-'I know. That's why I asked the lionesses to come with us. We could live a happy life somewhere out there. Almost all of the lionesses agreed on leaving. The other four wanted to stay, but they promised they wouldn't tell', the lion calmed her. She felt relieved that the pride wanted to leave as well.

-'When do we leave, and who is coming?', the lioness questioned.

-'Everyone except Aminifu, Sadiki, Nguvu and Mabaya. They are staying. And we leave tonight', the lion lifted his head, showing determination in his eyes and tone. Sarabi looks at him, eyes widen at his proclamation.

-'Tonight! But--'

-'If we leave tomorrow or later, my daughter is going to be dead. Do you understand now', Scar spoke, not wanting to change his mind. Sarabi thinks about it, silence standing between them until it was broken. Sarabi looks at him, also a determined look on her face. She agreed with him.

-'Alright. We will meet at Rafiki's tree when Mufasa is asleep. I hope you know where we are going and what you're doing', the lioness walked away after her last words. Taka just nodded and turned away from her to Priderock. He gave her a last glance and spoke silently.

-'Trust me. I know...'

Hope you guys like the story so far. I might continue this or start a new comic. Maybe a chapter story. Who knows.
