- Use the shard & risk being attacked again.
- Don't use the shard & trust Malcrux.

You come to the conclusion that it would probably be best to surrender the shard to Malcrux. After all, you don’t want to risk being hypnotized again and put into another compromising position. However, as soon as you hold out the shard to show Malcrux, something dawns on you. You feel the indescribable urge to use the shard on Malcrux’s claim of knowing Somnæs. You can either give it to him with full confidence that he would never betray you OR you could give the shard a squeeze to see if it will glow red while possibly put yourself at Somnæs’ mercy again. As you debate with yourself on what to do you remember that you DID see Malcrux (or some form of Malcrux) in your dream, but he had saved you. You also remember how Somnæs warned you that Harbingers are dishonest by nature. It’s a tough call.
Malcrux HAS done a lot for you. You almost feel as though you would be betraying him if you were to use this shard on him, but maybe you just need to be absolutely sure he can be trusted
