Like I said in my other post, I'm not an artist. I don't draw, and don't think I ever will. I'm not an artist.

And that's not gatekeeping. Just like I'm not a plumber or an engineer or a doctor, I'm a writer. There's nothing wrong with not being an artist and I don't think trying to take someone else's hobby or someone else's dream career and rubbing it in the dirt is fair.

I think the technology of these image generators could be very useful and cool, but it should never have turned into an us vs them scenario. Anyone can learn to draw if they have the time and the passion for it. I don't. That doesn't make me less than, nor does it make it "beneath me" to hold a pencil. We're all people with our own hopes and dreams and inner feelings we want to express, but we should never do it at the expense of people who weren't able to consent just because it's convenient or cheaper to do so. Please don't look the other way.
