Huh, that makes sense, I guess. Hey, if they ever make a reboot of the entire Mass Effect game series, do you think they'd add the female Turians, Krogan Salarians and Drell in the first game? I mean just think about it, a similarly written storyline with extras, even more freedom to play and more detailed choice outcomes than ever before! MaybeΒ a better ending.

When I saw the gameplay trailer and saw a female turian squad mate I almost fainted in excitement. Hope she's romanceable I'm a dextromancer. Also I still never saw any Quarians yet. I swear if they removed Quarians from Mass Effect...

But yeah I have a theory about that. My thought is that if the Quarians JUST got Rannoch back, there probably aren't going to be a lot of Quarians willing to rush off to Andromeda all of a sudden. Or in the case of the story directing to the Geth taking over, the remaining Quarians would likely want to keep fighting for the homeworld. In either situation, not a lot of Quarians would probably be willing to leave the milky way which is where I believe we will see them in Andromeda but they will be incredibly rare as only a select few made the decision to make the move.

One problem with that theory. According to a official timeline released by Bioware the ark ships left shortly after the events of Mass Effect 2 and before Mass Effect 3. So the Quarians were still exiles and treated like trash and they didn't have their home world. Now that I also think about it Geth are probably not going to be in Mass Effect Andromeda because Shepard didn't end the "Morning War" yet. Why Bioware?!

Ah fair point. That's unfortunate... You never know. We might see one or two but I doubt they'll be nearly as prevalent as they were in the Milky Way. I'd be rotten for Bioware to completely remove them with the following they've garnered. The Geth though? Yeah I don't see them coming back.

Okay to lighten the mood I just came up with a theory. Maybe the Geth built their own Ark ships and followed the other Arks. According to Avina in the second Andromeda Initiative video there were sections of the Nexus or Central Ark that contained the history of all cultures and species in the Milky Way. It'd be very cruel if they just excluded Quarians entirely. Humanity was the head of the Initiative and given Hackett's and Anderson's status they could have persuaded the Alliance and Quarians to join the Andromeda Initiative. If they did the Geth would want to follow them to look after them. The Geth aren't evil they care about the Quarians they just take drastic actions to defend themselves.
