There are at least 3 versions of this film, I'd suggest you to watch the original version that Richard Williams intended to release.

Don't watch the Miramax version, it's crap, they didn't aid Williams in his original vision, added stupid songs AND MADE THE THIEF'S THOUGHTS BE HEARD THROUGHOUT THE FILM AND GAVE TACK A VOICE!!! >___________<
Tack is a mute throughout the film and only speaks 1 line, ONLY ONE LINE in the original and he says it at the end.

i'm sorry to say this but i personally like tack's voice (matthew brokerick.) I know i know you're like 'what how could you?" But i like his voice a lot! It makes me swoon, along with his cute looks... lol

If Tack has a voice actor and you hear the Thief's thoughts, and if the film has songs...
That means you have the crappy version.

Watch the Recobbled Cut, it's true to Richard William's original vision.
