BECAUSE NOSTALGIA IS GIVING ME ANOTHER GOOD HARD KNOCK ON THE HEAD AGAIN.I missed this old movie, especially Tack.
Drawing Tack's hands were quite fun actually.
If you really think TTANTC is a rip-off of Aladdin, think of it this way...IT EXISTED FIRST BEFORE ALADDIN.
If it's the other way, I don't wanna be corrected. XD

I just watched this movie on Netflix with its restored version. If you like this movie there was another in Ireland that was inspired by the animation of The Thief and The Cobbler called the Secret of Kells. It has that same surreal, eye candy backgrounds and geometrically based character designs. Super beautiful!

I was sooooo desperate to watch this one, then at last I get to download it on Torrent. When I was little, I only recalled seeing the thief stealing those golden balls, that's that. xD I'll have to go and see that one! OuO

Oh so you've seen the Secret of Kells? βͺ( Β΄β½ο½) I've been studying Barry Reynolds art style for the past year for a series of paintings I am doing for my AP Studio concentration project. Which involves converting my characters into that style. I had fallen in love with the movie a few years back. Upon my research I found that it was inspired by Richard Williams's The Thief and the Cobbler- at first I muttered in confusion- but then as the film progressed- Ah! It was just as I suspected! Oh my! So few films capture this surreal dreamlike appeal- I HIGHLY recommend the Secret of Kells! You won't be disappointed!

Yeah! Even back before I found that out, I knew it was a whole separate story from Aladdin. And now that I think about it... Aladdin has a lot of things in it that might've been copied from that movie.

Longer review later, but...
every time somebody draws Tack making the yarn heart,
a baby giggles, which makes a fairy. This fairy goes on to fly into the sky and make a rainbow. A unicorn jumps out of the rainbow and vomits up glitter that causes somebody to draw Tack making the yarn heart.
